App Features

Arming/Disarming
You’ll never have to wonder if you armed your system before leaving home or work. The app's interactive shield on the home screen instantly shows your system's status and provides easy access to all arming and disarming commands. Residential users can select from Home, Sleep, and Away modes, while commercial accounts have the option to arm All, Perimeter, or specific Areas.

Push Notifications
When an event occurs on the security system, users can choose to receive alerts on their smartphones. For parents, this provides peace of mind when they see the system disarmed at the usual time their kids get home from school. For business owners, alerts confirm if the system was armed or disarmed at the expected times. Users also receive immediate notifications of any alarms and can review their entire event history.

Manage System Users
The Virtual Keypad app offers convenient access to various system management activities, including user management. System owners can quickly add or remove users and modify their login credentials, making it particularly valuable for commercial applications where employee access needs to be swiftly updated as personnel changes occur.

Manage System Profiles
Commercial users can use the app to manage the profiles of employees and others needing access to the facility or the security system. These profiles define user code authority and access rights. Instead of re-entering system data each time an employee is hired or leaves, the system administrator can simply assign the appropriate profile to the user.

Manage User Schedules
Another popular feature for commercial users is the ability to manage user schedules through the app. With the intuitive Virtual Keypad app interface, administrators can effortlessly set up schedules that grant specified employees access to specific areas at designated times. This feature is also ideal for managing contractors, such as cleaning or service crews, by limiting their access to certain areas and times within the facility.

Smart Control for Z-Wave
Residential and commercial users are eagerly embracing smart Z-Wave technology to add cost-effective automation features to their security systems. All devices can be controlled via the app, enabling users to manage lights, adjust their HVAC systems, lock or unlock doors, and more. They can even create a personalized visual room control screen on their mobile devices by taking a photo and adding hotspots for controlling each Z-Wave device.

Scheduling & Automating
While individual Z-Wave devices are easily controlled through the app, users can elevate their residential or commercial automation by grouping devices and actions into 'Favorites,' which can be initiated with a single tap. Z-Wave devices can also be linked to other panel actions—so, for example, when the system is armed, the panel automatically locks the doors, adjusts the thermostat, and turns on security lighting. Additionally, setting up Favorites allows users to schedule their automation devices for specific times.

Geofencing
The app allows users to create and manage smartphone geofencing, using GPS to trigger panel actions. When a user leaves home and crosses a designated boundary, the system can automatically arm, lock doors, and perform other preset actions. Users can receive Smart Arming Reminders to confirm that employees have left the premises. These features offer enhanced security, reduced energy costs, and increased convenience for residential and commercial accounts.
Video Verification
When users receive an unexpected system alert, they can instantly view system cameras to determine the cause and have options to record, access, and download video clips. Video Verification is a powerful tool to reduce false alarms and identify perpetrators, making it useful for monitoring offices, children, and elderly parents.
